DESCRIPTION:
The Otočac Small Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP), installed capacity 1.8 MW, is planned to be built near the City of Otočac, Lika-Senj County, on the Lika-Gacka connecting canal, which is a part of the larger Senj Hydropower System (Senj HPS).
It is planned that the water that now passes through the Lika-Gacka tunnel and connecting canal be harnessed for power generation on the connecting canal reach between the tunnel exit and the canal mouth into the Gacka River (Karlov Kanal canal on the Gacka) where the gross head is 5 meters.
