DESCRIPTION:
The Vrdovo Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Plant (PSHPP) with installed capacity of 2 x 270/245 MW is located in the area of Gornje Vrdovo and Peruća reservoir. Being the pumped storage plant, it uses the Peruća reservoir as its tailwater pond, while the headwater pond is located in the area of Vrdovo and has an area of 86.65 ha and storage capacity of 21 million m3. The height difference between the headwater and tailwater pond is 600 m. The installed flow is 100 m3/s for turbine, and 80 m3/s for pump operation mode. The length of the headrace and tailrace tunnels is 7 km, and the length of the access roads is 15.4 km.
